Andy Yeo is a composer and sound artist based in Malmö with roots in Singapore. Through his music, he explores identity, heritage, and hybridity, often blending Asian influences with experimental sound art, electronic textures, and improvisation. His debut album, Haw Par Villa (2022), draws on childhood memories from Southeast Asia, weaving together soundscapes and improvisation into a reflection on roots and belonging.
He studied at Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with a background in jazz and improvisation, though his work extends far beyond the traditional jazz scene. As both a solo artist and bandleader, he moves fluidly between genres such as alternative rock, electronic music, and experimental sound design.
Yeo has worked and performed internationally, collaborating with musicians and artists across disciplines including film, dance, performance, and installation art.
