C. Grace Chang (b. 1989, USA) lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. Her immersive video, text, and sound installations are informed by decolonial theory, critical race studies, queer diasporic archiving, and speculative fiction. She uses refusal (of the colonial gaze) as a starting point to reflect on joy, justice, futurity, and remembrance in mainstream western discourse—and to re-center those in the margins. Recently, she received the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s working grant (2026–2027). In Autumn 2026, she will attend the residency at Korea's National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in an exchange with IASPIS. Previously, she served as curator at Skånes konstförening and taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art. She was selected for the Swedish Film Institute/Film i Skåne’s Talent to Watch 2021–2022 program.
