MAAPS (Mapping Asian Art Practices in Sweden) with Mansi Kashatria, Nanna Li, Jesper Bror Palmqvist, 筒 | tsu-tsu, and Ting Wang

May 20, 2026, HAS – Helix Art Space
MAAPS was launched on May 20, 2026 at HAS – Helix Art Space as part of the HAS Creative Breakfast series.
The morning brought together MAAPS initiators Yul Cho, Letian Lois Ding, Ruoxi Gao, and Ifra Shariq in collaboration with close-enough, with artists and practitioners Mansi Kashatria, Nanna Li, Jesper Bror Palmqvist, 筒 | tsu-tsu, and Ting Wang.
Each guest gave a short presentation on their practice, followed by a shared conversation and Q&A. It was a chance to bring different practices and perspectives to think about the many ways Asian and diasporic experiences take shape within Sweden’s art field, opening up a conversation that MAAPS hopes to continue through the platform.
Breakfast was provided by Haga Bakery.
The launch was also highlighted by cultural researcher Tobias Hübinette in a post looking at the emergence of new networks and initiatives connected to Asian and diasporic communities in Sweden.
